What kind of ash tree? What we have around here are called arizona ash and and if one makes it to 50 feet before it dies....well, very rare.
Read above lol but that looks a lot like most that I've dropped....half rotten inside.
Having a good chain file when you need it in the field but I got to where I buy them off the internet and have extras. The chain used to be fairly cheap and shipped for free.
Dang, someone finally mentioned a Poulan lol. My Poulan 3400 is 37 years old and used to use it to cut firewood every year. Dad bought it and just handed it to me. It came with a 16" bar and it wasn't long before it got an 18" stuck on it. My wife burned through 3 cords before I jumped her *** about it. Heck, we live in Texas! but she liked the fireplace roaring. I am a fan of Stihl products though and have a FS55 weed eater that's probably getting close to 25 years old. Used to have an acre of land with lots of trees but now only have 1/2 acre....with lots of trees. Getting ready to use my electric chain saw to hack up some medium sized limbs that the power company cut out a few weeks ago and left. Started to call it in but I'll burn it instead
Arizona ash burns pretty good and works fine in a burn pit.
