Howdy,

I posted this up on the Facebook group and it didn't turn up anything.

I'm curious if anyone is familiar with this one?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/125067176565

Current seller / owner isn't too sure of it's backstory. Looking for any information that I can find, and maybe talk to a prior owner.

Hoping to go see it in person this weekend. Waiting for the snow to melt. Literally.

Thanks in advance.

Nice looking car! It has the same column shifted automatic as the 4 door granny car I DD though...:D

Lots of exterior pictures, but pictures of the undercarriage, door jambs, bottoms of the quarters, wheelhouse lips & inside the trunk. Those are the details I looks for. No fender tag pictures either. It would be interesting to see if that's the original color.

Here's the fender tag

Zooming and a magnifying glass and it looks like R4 R4 on the tag...

LOL, didn't see that picture in the collection... much easier to read...

That said, I always get a tad wary when a car sales place states "needs paint to be a show car"...

Thanks for the info, yes, R4 on the tag. Strange thing is there's overspray inside the trunk (visible on the wiring loom), not sure if it got a color change somewhere along the way or if it had a trunk floor replaced, quarter panel replaced, etc.

Even the spare tire bolt is painted, someone put perfume on it... in person inspection mandatory for paint alone.

Agree 100%. I'm only about 4 hours away so an in person inspection is do-able. Looking for a clean driver so the paint might be passable as is, will know for sure once I'm standing in front of it.

Thanks for the help.

Car looks OK
from photos looks like the quarters and floor pans have been replaced.
Hood pins added, replacement radiator
Lots of over spray and minor incorrect details. Most of which could be sorted easily.
I like the interior, first thing I look at is if the car still has the door medallions.

Let us know what you find out.
Good luck

Does GTX have the same hood stripes as a RoadRunner? Missing exhaust crossover also. Owned by one of the Beach Boys also.

Pretty darn sure that vert was for sale here in Michigan within the last two years....

That is a very recent paint job. Almost no paint scratched off the trunk striker.

The seat skins are dry and pulling apart so factor that into the price. For me the paint doesn't look like something I would be happy with, hood pins and orange peel showing up in a few shots there. Quarter skins were put on but the floor and quarter drops look pretty good for scale. Trunk trim is expensive and hard to find these days (pitted pretty good). It looks like the wheelhouses were sectioned in about 6 inches from the bottom?
A personal inspection is absolutely necessary so an educated offer can be made IMO. $60k is too much.

I’d be wary of the quarter panel replacement. Minor details can add up rapidly and when you add the cost of a paint job, you’re up to 30+ grand like nothing.
