Does anyone know of any alternative security screws and their size for the Flip Top Gas Caps? I know Mopar changed to the security screws at some point due to thefts or whatnot, but everywhere I look, the OEM style screws and the tool seem to be approximately $50.

I know, own the car, pay the price. But for 3 screws...? It's messing with my brain.

Has anyone here used an alternative screw that won't leave someone feeling screwed?

McMaster Carr has assorted screws and drivers... A pack of 50 tri-groove screw is $11 & the driver is another $11...

But owning a Mopar ya gotta have these...

Use 3 different screws? Need 3 different tools.
1 tamperproof torx. 1 square drive and a pop rivet! Lol!

I got mine from custommachinecompontents on eBay. $27 for the tool and 3 security screws. They don't have a current listing, but you could contact them.

Just use stainless steel 8-32 button heads bolts with nylock nuts! The bolts will just spin unless the thieves can get the trunk open and have the correct size wrench or socket.

I used torx.

I'll take the reduction in percentage chance.

The real high theft item for 66/67 is the standard gas cap!
