68 GTX with a 150MPH speedo. Looks like I'm missing a filler that goes right over the
speedometer housing before I put the long aluminum strip on with the six screws? I
see that Classic Industries sells a Bezel that goes all around the housing, but all the
pictures of GTX speedo's don't have anything like that. Just the Roadrunners. So, is
there a filler that goes in there that I've misplaced? Thanks again Guys!View attachment 1216523 View attachment 1216523

There are small angled metal pieces that attach at each screw that holds that upper chrome strip out a little so it covers the gap.

I have this, not sure if it what you need? I know its off a non rally cluster, maybe some one that knows can chime in...

I'm trying to find a parts blow-up to see what I need. Thanks, I'll try to find it!

Haywire 440, I can't seem to find anything that resembles a clip. Do you have a pic??

In 69 there is a light aluminum piece that goes from one side to the other with a mild "V" in the middle. You should see the very small holes in the dash used for attachment. It is about 3/4" wide.

If you look at the pictures, you'll see that it is installed now, but there is a gap between the strip and the clear
plastic speedo face.

I don’t think I have a picture. My best description is:

1. lightweight stainless metal
2. Square in shape but the sides are angled enough to hold the trim away so it covers the gap.
3. The hole(s) that go through it are over size and maybe oblong.

I’m unable to see if there are any spares right now to take a picture but they were used on the GTX & Sport Satellite because of the wood grain pieces. I’m surprised others haven’t responded. If I do see any I’ll send it along.

The clip probably hold the top out so the bottom angles in.

I believe this is what you need. I googled a little. Maybe check eBay or maybe better to put a want ad here. Good luck

Do you have that piece of trim shown in the picture. Did not catch what year your GTX is.

Maybe I am missing a part also. But don't know if the 68 is different than the 69. I had to search everywhere for some of my parts and the guys at Stephen's in Alabama were help full. Wish you luck on the quest. Blue.

Dat's what I'm talking about! Thanks Guys! I know that I'm missing something. I think those clips just may be it!

And the winner is! Haywire 440!!!!!
Found the culprits. Six clips that slide into the aluminum strip and holds it at about a 20 degree angle.
Now to find MY clips, or some used ones. one guy on Flea-Bay has six for sale for $70.00!!!
Mo no think so.

It's all part of it, Paulie. Now imagine how much time it would have taken without our kick-*** forum! :D
