Finally, my ‘66 Coronet 500 goes to paint this week.
My painter is having difficulty finding a formulation for 1969 B5, even with the paint codes I have provided.
Anyone have the formulation from a recent experience painting this color, from this year? Believe the 1970 formulation was the same
Thanks

Just had my 69 RR painted with PPG Deltron B5. Fairly certain that 1970 is a slightly different mix.

Just confirming - This is the 1969 formula - not the new-since-2009 version? Thanks!! Have a pic?
Just saw your original paint code, so you can ignore the question, but do you have a pic of your car? Any other mixing codes on the can?

Here is a link to my thread. No idea if it a new or old formula, but they did take the mix out of a 69 book. Of course, in 69 it was single stage and mine is base/ clear.

There is no more mixing materials available for the original colors from 1969. The paints back
then contained lead, and other not-so-nice chemicals. Can't be done! The new formula is BC/CC
formulation that will last much longer without the headaches. If color correctness is what you
want, send the deck lid to the paint mixing company to match the underside if it has not been
stripped already.

Thanks for the info, but car was not originally blue

70 is a slightly different shade than 69. B5 somewhat changes colors depending on the light. Mine looks different under the light in the garage from when it is outside in the sun and then in the shade. Sometimes it has more of a greenish tint in it and other times it looks more silverish blue.
