Thanks for sharing this! I keep dumping money into my 73 wondering if I'll ever get it back. :) This is a great!!!

$40k for a 73 RR

(not a resto-mod or high dollar custom)

never ever thought I'd see the day...

The cars selling on BAT are going for beyond crazy prices RC

I have a #'s matching 340 4 speed bench seat car red/White stripe with black interior.. Good to see as it makes more of these projects worth doing..

Couple of fellas got into a bidding war the last couple hours apparently....

There's a very nice 73 FE5 318 4 Speed that is/was for sale around here in Connecticut for half that.

That's more than B-J/Mecum prices for those.

People are being priced out the 71/72 B body market, and are priced out of 68 to 70 B body market for a few years now. The 68 to 70 Charger market is insane! Even the 72 to 74 E body market is going through the roof.

I looked at the listing a few times.

And honestly I thought mid 20s was realistic.
Never in my dreams felt 40k was possible on this era car.

I know a few people interested in buying a classic car.
And most have been priced out of the market.
They simply cant spend 40 or 50k or more for a toy.
Problem is decent projects are in high teens or into the 20s or more .
Unless you can live with a clone you take a slant six body or similar and build your own. The problem with such method you are most likely above value before you're halfway thru.
Its a double edge sword so to speak.
