And won't buy/have again.

For me it's General tires. Used to be GE appliances but think they are better now? From what I'm hearing from friends and relatives, Samsung appliances suck and don't plan on having any of that.

Damn Trojan condoms. 12 kids.

Don't tell my wife.

I'll use GE again, had all GE appliances in perfect working order for years. Then, a few years ago my wife wanted to re-do the kitchen and laundry. I told her to get all quality appliances. She selected Maytag. GARBAGE ! Every single one, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, drier. The washer was fixed under warranty, all the others I had to repair myself !! I fixed the fridge, the washer again after warranty, dishwasher 3x, and clothes drier 3x. STAY AWAY FROM MAYTAG. Oh, and the friend I made at the appliance parts store told me to avoid Samsung garbage.

Brand name tools. Snap-On, Matco and others. Now I just stick with Pittsburgh, or anything from Harbor Freight.

Have a Maytag washer and so far so good but the water valves pulsate until they warm up I guess. The colder the wash room is, the longer they pulsate. Summer time, the time they do that is pretty short. They've been doing that for years and well, forget about fixing them, the replacements do the same thing. The old Maytag lasted for a LOT of years.

Lennox heating and AC equipment. I bought a year old house in the 90s with two Lennox heating and air units. Within two or three years it seemed like I had to replace about a third of the equipment for defects - seems I remember most of it on my nickel. I used to say if I knew where they buried Dave Lennox I would go and dig up his body, drag it through the streets, and hang it from a lamp post.

Hopefully their newer equipment is more durable.

General tires
General Electric
General Motors..

I see a trend here

Carlisle tires . From what I know the brand exist solely for new trailers to have something roll off the sales floor on . We have many trailers at our house . I think I have had 5 or 6 Carlisle trailer tires blowout within a years of buying them . Goodyear Marathon are all that I buy now .
We've not been impressed with our Kenmore appliances made in the last ten years or so .

Had these for breakfast and proceeded to have a bad day. Magically delicious my a$$!

Unlimited Performance Fiberglass
last stuff I got from them was absolute junk
front & rear bumpers, the shape & Gelcoat surface was ok,
race weight so I knew they would be light...
but;
the marker lite holes, exterior trimming was crooked as hell
someone on dope or a 3rd grader, must have trimmed them
& outside edges & holes molded in the front bumpers were rough as hell...

Nothing I can't or couldn't fix, it's just fiberglass, but I shouldn't have to...

I got nothing but run around when I called them
not worth the extra shipping costs & time

I had dealt with them years prior (a decade earlier), no real problems
lots of fiberglass stuff, several 23 & 27 Altered bodies,
misc. hoods, bumpers, trunk lids, lift of full front ends
even some custom Carbon Fiber pieces, for several different racecars
It 'was' always a decent product

I think they had a management change, maybe ownership too
during the period I hadn't bought from them...

I chalk it up to experiance

must have been a Mon. or Friday deal

--------------------------------------------------------------------

disclaimer;
don't get me wrong, I like/love 99% of Edelbrock's products,
most all, are Made in the USA, with US sourced materials & labor
right here in California...
I've bought a ton of their products with great results...

Another beef is Edelbrock/Webber Carbs,
both an AVS & an AFB 1407 750cfm w/electric choke (Carter) knockoff
I dislike them, I will never buy another one of them
seen the same symptoms I had way too many times on many others too...
The last 2 new carbs 'were junk', I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy
(well a couple of people :p I could send them too :poke: not lose any sleep )
I never could get them right...
No next time for me...
They must have been built after a break, before lunch
or Mon., Friday carbs
I know some here love & sware by them
I ain't one of them people
Give me an old Org. vintage AFB or AVS Carter
or their org. Competition AFB black label
& I'll just rebuild it, far, far better carb, if I need something to look OE...

I cured the problem, I put Holley's (or Quickfuel) in their place
runs perfectly & 'nearly perfect' right out of the boxes...

ACE hardware house brand products.
Terrible. Every item has sucked.
I usually only buy them when the major brand item is out of stock. Masking tape, hose nozzles, gate hardware, you name it, the quality is crap.

Interstate batteries,
At our shop everything we have to deal with or jump a dead car or truck it has a interstate in it.
It has became a running joke anymore.
To be sure.... I should have purchased stock in the company , they have a fantastic marketing outfit.

Conversely, I installed Lennox Heat-A/C system in 1985, lasted 30 years with the furnace still tip-top. I always get top-of-the-line products, though.

Dodge Avengers. These cars are complete crap cars. 2 of my neighbors 3 and 4 houses down both have Dodge avengers. One is a 2009 the other is a 2012. The 09 has a weird starting issue I could not figure out. Turn the key the starter solenoid clicks 3 times then its over. The 2012 has had several fires inside the console wiring. The console was melted in a couple spots from the wiring.

Cooper tires was another...

just didn't last very long on a 4x4, like 20,000 miles
even rotating every 3,000 or so
nowhere near as long as advertised

edited added:
not soft enough for good performance, on or off-road
not hard enough to last either, sort of too soft sidewalls also
for a 33" x 12.5", were like barely 32" diam. & like 11" of tread
especially for a $1,000 for a set of 4 tires
& I had a 5th (another $250) spare I rotated in too
