decoding fender tag

trying to get the fender tag on my 68 RR decoded. have most of it but under where it says ax there is a 68 under it. i understand the 8
denotes a sure grip. what does the 6 stand for a 3.55:1? Also on the line above the RM21 there is a 95

What was the original color? In 69, a 95 there was a mid year new color. I'm not sure about 68
Not intending an insult, but are you sure its not B5?
Do you know what assembly plant built it?

Yes 68 = 3:55 gears with sure Grip rear end. There should also be a 1 under the A indicating 26" radiator to go with the axle package.

1/9 = body sill molding
2/5 = drip rail molding.

The paint codes are not above the RM21, the molding codes are there.

68 under AX decodes to:

AXLE: 3.54/3.55 Rear Axle Ratio (Dana60 or 8 3/4), Sure Grip
