Accelerator assembly Question

Good morning, can someone tell me what goes in that spot to keep the cable from sliding out of the big end of the hole? I don't think that oddball bolt was OEM, was it a plastic plug or nothing (just tension)?

Just need to know what I'm searching for if it's missing something.

Ok, need accelerator assembly question. The other end - what does the fastener look like on this end - again, I doubt it's the odd bolt my brother used in the early 80s. I'm guessing maybe a pin with a cotter type pin?

Other than that, it cleaned up nicely. Let me know if you notice that it's missing other parts as that's what it had

Mine is automatic. Why would the carb linkage stud be different between manual and auto?

Because you need the automatic stud to operate the kick down linkage.
