You know that what I was originally told; 450.
What I will say is that I met the (then) principal dealer for Dodge many, many years ago. After a big discussion about the SD2, he swore the number was only 200 give or take a few cars - he said it was a car that sat in showrooms for ages unsold -...
Yeah, all factory r/h for the Aussie market. The dash is a reversed version of a Plymouth dash, probably because they were easier to make.
They were all badged as the Phoenix over here, because Dodge had a good reputation with its previous years.
1 of the few to have survived in Australia; where only 200 were available. Note the Fratzog (I think that's what they are called) horn button but with a stock Plymouth dash.
Is you car an LA series motor? Mine has the 318 polysphere...the 'wide block'. Not meaning to doubt your word, but I thought the stock '64 was an LA 318.
If you have the same motor I could well be interested in some of the stuff.
Hi everyone,
Decided to add a/c to my car as west oz is stinking hot and the car doesn't get driven much in summer here.
I've checked out some of the modern alternative, heat and a/c systems (my heater box is out of the car) and will go for something hidden under the dash.
My question...
thank you to every1
A big thanx to all the posting on this topic...I managed to get a new dash circuit board and a NOS gas gauge.
I also got a solid state limiter to wire in...I'm a little unsure of how I should wire it in...I have 3 wires from it. 1 power in. 1 ground and 1 to attach to...
Pics from the back of the circuit board on my 62 Dodge Dart...this is the Aussie version that runs the same dash as the Plymouth signet.
It has no fuel or temp gauge working but the ammeter does work. The dash lights were always on when the car runs!
Stray wire....missing a volt limiter and...
Guys, thank you for your help and information.
I ended up talking with Dodge and Plymouth parts australia, who didn't have the part but did have the ability to take my old pitman and refurbish it to spec.
Turn around was a day so it would be far quicker than sourcing a replacement as well.
Hey Nick, thank you for that info, I assumed it had all been changed.
Do you have any idea where I can get replacement items for these? Down here in Oz they are not showing up anywhere.
Can anybody identify this Ptiman and Idler arm?
Pitman; about 5 3/8ths from center of cap to hole center. Has 14-171 R860 on it.
Idler; about 5 1/4 between center of caps, has 14-170 on it.
Any help would be great; it was on my Dodge Dart (1962) but the car has had a disc brake conversion...
Can some1 please put me on the correct path for 1 of these to replace the busted one thats on there?
car is a 318 poly motor with a torque flite auto trans
cheers to all.
I figured that was the situation as it looks a little cramped to fit something into there! Probably a good idea to remove the box anyway, I bet the original heater unit must be getting close to needing some tlc.
