I went with the al intake.
btw, also lived in Farmington for a while. Miss the days of going to the Blue Lantern on Orchard Lake at 696 to make runs out on the highway late Thurs.
Hope you had a good time at WDC.
Can someone show me a picture of what the "nut" (9420 263 from the manual) looks like to attach the GTX emblem to my decklid? There is no hole inside the trunk to get a barrel nut on the back of the emblem pin. I will drill one if I have too but would prefer to understand how they were...
If it is an "amazingly solid and unrestored" car you might find a broadcast sheet. The could be anywhere; mine had one in the dash above the glove box, one on a headliner bow and one under the carpet. My 70 GTX also had the fender tag. Everything on my fender tag was on the broadcast sheet. If...
Looks good. I wish I powder coated more parts than I did on mine. What was done holds up way better than the painted parts. It really is easy to keep clean.
I have a couple of my cars converted to DOT 5. I did it when I changed essentially every component of the system (lines, master cylinder, portioning valves, calipers). I have read both that flushing with alcohol and then blowing the lines out with air is good and I have read that you should just...
The motor has a 440 Source 4.150" stroker crank, forged pistons making 11:5, Indy EZ-295 heads, .728/.728 solid roller, 1.7 rockers, Jesel belt drive, 2-1/8" TTI headers and 3" X pipes

Brewer Performance built mine. My motor goal was 650hp and they said it would easily handle that. And so far it has.
I have a McLeod perf clutch kit with the organic/ceramic disc and a SFI flywheel. Car weighs 3550 with me in it.
my understanding is:
V1X - upper body color - full vinyl roof black
N96 - hood treatment - shaker hood (on Plymouth but not sure for Dodge that it is shaker), have also seen it marked as high altitude emissions but I think that is for after 1983
FC7 - lower body color - Violet Metallic
M6X9...
Welcome to the board! Welcome to the world of Mopars. If you are a Ford guy, you just stepped on the accelerator for spending cash. Even compared to the California Special you have in the background (nice btw).
Post up your tag and someone can help you decode it. I have a sheet that decoded my...
I have a 70 V-code and I am not sure I agree that the Edelbrock aftermarkets have flaws. I bought one from Indy with my heads and fits (is port matched) and it flows great. That being said I wanted to keep the stock look and the Air Grabber, but the intake is clearly the limiting factor in my...
I agree with the comments about good luck finding ethanol free gas in the US.
I would be surprised if someone built an engine in the last 15 years without doing hardened valve seats. You probably have them.
The only octane additive I have ever used that seemed to work is Supreme 130...
