Plymouth Fury's in BYOT Beaumont Texas

Like the title says BYOT (pick a part type yard) in Beaumont Texas there are two Plymouth Fury's. These are the only pics I got. It's out the way for me so I don't visit it often. However, if you can't, I plan on going back but it may not be till next week. If there's something particular or...

    Replacing a quarter panel

Worked the bumper panel a little more today and the fitment looks a lot better. The picture makes it look like it's more than it is. Just need to file the edges straight and should be able to butt weld it.

    Replacing a quarter panel

I bought a parts car. Actually I bought two and both have pretty good quarters. They're not perfect but they're pretty good.

    Replacing a quarter panel

Even after measuring it a few times, I ended up about a keys thickness longer. So a question for the more experienced metal workers here, what are the options? Make a new piece, try and bend this one an 1/8 of an inch, cut it?

    Replacing a quarter panel

Getting further into the car and don't want to move forward without getting rid of the rust behind the bumper mount brace. The area behind the red shaded area is where the rust is. I cut it out and made a new piece from sheet metal.

    Replacing a quarter panel

Done for the day but I've come to two conclusions. 1) definitely don't want to, I patch it up and just move forward and drive it. 2) take it to a experienced body man and go all out. The panel under the taillight and the taillight box need to be pulled out

    Replacing a quarter panel

    Replacing a quarter panel

The replacement has some dents and dings, but nothing major. The worst part of it is on the front end.

    Replacing a quarter panel

I'd like to do that. The front part of the quarter is good. This car was hit in the rear sometime in the past and I'm finding everything now.

    Replacing a quarter panel

I got all the excess removed from the quarter. It will need a little work but no patch work this way, at least not on the side. My issue becomes how far is too far now? I'm going to replace the trunk extension but there is rust behind the bumper brace. The sheet metal is a flat piece so that...

    Replacing a quarter panel

The front of the quarter is good. Real good, in fact. The only issue I have is the rust on the bottom rear and the taillight section. I've been told leave as much original metal as possible and that actual seems easier than to pull the while quarter. The other side of the story was concert with...

    Replacing a quarter panel

I'm looking for some advice from people that have done this before or had it done. The back portion around my tail lights and the lower quarter behind the wheel well are bad and need to be replaced. I have a donor quarter panel off a parts car that I got. I have had two different opinions on...

    Recommendations for rear quarter

The issue with my car is the Bondo wasn't done right in the first place. It should be used at a minimum and it was used to form the body lines of the back quarter. I will use some all metal but I plan on using a bare minimum.
