    Im doing a 383 to gen 2 hemi swap with same mounts in my 71 charger. Do you have any pictures of the valve cover to the passenger shock tower clearance? Im having problems, stage 5 heads.

    Not sure of the brand, My heads are Stage 5 Hemi stock replacements. They just say Southland dodge cast aluminum valve covers on paperwork.

    No it was a 383, it fit just fine.

    I just installed my gen 2 hemi in 71 charger and the passenger valve cover contacts the inner fender. I have mopar performance roller rockers with cast valve covers and not sure if I can run a valve cover with more clearance or what to do about it, has anyone had or seen this problem? TTI header...

    Thanks, sounds like a lot of work and fabricating. Trying not to cut the body up. Silversport says the GM 4L60E will handle it, I believe if I turned the hp up any I may be in trouble. Seems the 727 would be better option, they didnt seem reliable when I had them in the 80s and would like to...
