They go between the spring pad on the housing and shock plate for adjustable traction bars.What are they worth,without the rest of the pieces,not much.

Those numbers are for three different year production,the 2409826/7 being the earliest,the others are probably superseded and I would guess all the same.There were only two types 1/2 20 available,the zinc plated and chrome for the Magnums and road wheels.

Check with a few cam manufacturers,give them your specs,ask here and you will get a dozen different suggestions.

So what did everyone do for 40 + years before the advent of the mini starter ?

From the stories I've heard about mini starters and headers I would have done a little research before I did anything,usually things are not always as easy they seem !!

Is it really that important ??

The matching numbers thing got way out of hand years ago because of the money,at the end of the day it is the same block as any other 70 383, period !If someone is stupid enough to crawl under a car to check the numbers,so what,let them go for it.:rolleyes:

Hood questionable,the rest are correct except the wheels,69 would have had trim ring,full chrome are 67/8 only.
