dude, lay off the redbull...
if they sent me kit with solid wire i sure wouldn't have installed it. solid wiring on a car is stupid. the only place you'll see solid wire is on a race car, the plug wires, and it's a question of when they're going to break, not if.
since you linked to...
i doubt they use solid wire. real automotive wire is made differently from house wire and there are different levels of that based on use.. part of the reason those harnesses cost a little more (and worth it in my opinion. << worth what you paid for it :icon_winkle:) they use good relays...
without changing anything else, yes. the alt+ is still connected to the bat+, it's just a bit of a mess getting there. if you really want to get into it seach Dan's threads on charging system upgrades.
good luck
schedualing for me and the buyer is not going to work until the 16th. if that falls through for some reason i will contact those that wanted this in order i received them
thanks
it is, but it's a crappy circuit because the whole thing runs through the fuse link, along with everything except the starter relay and starter. just adding a relay run from the battery does takes load off the headlight switch. but the headlight load that gets taken from the battery is still...
to really see the full affect you need to get beyond thinking about just the headlights. there are some good articles at slantsix.org and forabodies only about bypassing the ammeter by wiring directly from bat+ to alt+ (with appropriate protection). part of what your trying to do is stop the...
when you pulling the power from the battery the alternator still has to charge it, through the bulkhead connector, through the ammeter and back out the bulkhead connector. it's not like he doesn't know MOPARS. there is also the MAD-ELECTRIC way of doing it, which to me looks a lot like a hack...
