Here's a quick update.... I just spoke with Dick at Firm Feel and he said he is familiar with the problem had problems with the index on these bars (1") and some of the larger bars. Told me to send him the bars and he will either repair or send me a new set. They are a "STAND UP" company!!!

Thanks! I had no idea hot exhaust runs through the manifold - this could be why the car ran so bad when cold. Anyway, left it alone and just bolted the 4bbl intake on. Hopefully it will be running later tonight....

Hey Guys, Anyone know if this is normal and should be cleaned? I just removed my intake manifold from my 318 and noticed what looks like corrosion and blocked water jackets? One side is completetly blocked and the other is almost 100% blocked. Thanks

Agreed. I removed a pair of rusted cheapos that were on the car for about 5 years and put them in the trash. I put a set of TTI's on and they fit perfect. 3 years later they are still in perfect condition and never been smashed. Go with TTI. 73 RR 340 4 sp
