The kit I purchased for my A body came with the black seal that goes around the shaft, a white bushing that covers where the arm bolts to the car and a grease fitting.

My VR is quite a bit different than the one you suggested moes, here is what I currently have with the only number I could find on the old alternator. Perhaps my old VR does not work with the new alternator Ive installed? Just want to be sure. Thanks!

I cleaned the firewall & back of the VR and nothing changed. Im getting 12.84 volts on the battery while the car is off and over 18 when it is running. I installed the alternator in the link from post #2 as suggested and according to the specs it does not have an internal VR from my...

Thanks moes for the reply. Couple questions... Okay so I check the grounds under the hood especially on the VR, does it have a dedicated ground or ground to the firewall? Where do I check the volts at idle with my multimeter? How many should I see, I assume this will increase when RPMs go up...

I have a 67 Charger with 383 and my alternator died on me yesterday. Went to Napa this morning and they couldnt find anything in their system. Napa is my only option as they are the only show in town, would anyone know what they could cross reference or a part number perhaps I could give them...

Im taking the head from a 170 and swapping it to a 225, Im using the rocker arm shaft from the 170 and push rods from the 225 as they are the correct length. Question, as the rocker shaft Im installing has been set for the 170 rods/lifters will i hurt anything by just bolting it on as is or...
