Another photo with the oil off

Changing out the rearranging on my 318, and I was looking at the bearings and noticed discoloration on the ends. Are they bad or is this normal? I rebuilt the engine 8 years ago and the car is usually driven a few times a week when the weather is nice. Thanks for any advice you guys have.

I looked at these, how difficult are they to put in. Do I need any special tools?

I have not, I could look into it. Oddly enough it's the passenger's side that looks worse I thought usually the driver's sides had the problems.

Hi guys, I've got 74 Satellite with a 318. My motor mounts are tearing after only 8 years. I'm having a hard time finding the correct mounts in stock the few I can find are back-ordered over a month. I need the spool style I think it's called? Does anyone make a better version of these mounts...

Okay so update. Changed the power valve to a 7.5 so it opens a little sooner. Not sure if the old one was bad or not but after i replaced it the car did run leaner so maybe it was leaking a little? Also cracked open the secondaries a little with the set screw. Car is running alot better! still...
