Hi guys,... have some questions for the Edelbrock guru's. I've google searched these questions but not really found the answers so thought i'd come here and start some dialogue.
So here's my story - (car in signature) Running Edelbrock 1406
A couple weeks ago the car started running like...
Little update on this..... the seller shipped me out the +/- ones at no charge. (didn't even ask him to do that) Anyway, installed and all is well. Light is nice and even.
OH WTF ! Well, that is weird isn't it. I've never seen a bulb like that. Thank you for noticing.. I just figured the issue was on my end. I'll order up some different ones..
:thankyou:
Thanks 72, Looks like we bought the same bulb. I bought these which are from the same seller. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-X-Warm-White-BA15D-5050-13-SMD-RV-Camper-Trailer-LED-Light-Bulbs-1154-1142-12V/352027880706?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Now that my dome light works with the door, and seeing how the heat (and 47 years) has yellowed and warped my dome lens, it thought i'd treat the ole girl to an LED bulb.
Stock dual contact, single filament bulb is a 1004. Bought the LED equivalent,... and as soon as i put the bulb in the...
Looking up the bulbs online for your car shows a 194. If it's the push/twist, shop for a 53 That will get you to the size that would fit that socket.
Remember, that release on the speedo cable is a squeeze type. I just broke mine thinking i had to lift it.
Can't tell you what they are on a /70, but they are 194's on my '71.
Do yourself and the car a favor and buy RED LED versions. Draws less amperage so it's easier on the poor old wiring, and they produce WAAAAY less heat which is mo-betta for the plastic lens.
Welp, we can bring this one to a close. All back together and ZERO draw (with clock disconnected) and 13mAH draw with it back in the loop.
Plus I now have a working key buzzer and dome light. That had been on my to-do list and ended up being a byproduct of this repair. While I was at it, I...
Just an update on my radio,.... I ran a fair amount of LectroMotive cleaner thru and all around the radio, seems to have helped my tune issue, (at least on the quick test drive) had no effect on the volume control however. We’ll see how it behaves over the next couple weeks. Thanks for the...
Thanks. I’ll give the tune-up in a can a try. If it just worked even a little bit better I’d be happy. I don’t use it much, but like for all the Stuff in my cars to function. Most the time I’m just listening to the bumpity bumpity bump.
I do radio conversations for the Nash Metropolitan...
