It won't fit through the dampner, depending on the style of fireplace you have it's likely only a 3-4" opening. He's going to stave and die in there, best to call animal control.

I was able to pull my motor and 4spd trans together without taking the hood off on my 73 RR. You'll lose a bit of fluid out of the tranny though.

Replaced my performer 440 intake with the holley street dominator, installed the passenger mirror and rear window trim. Revved the heck out of her because too many beers to test drive....
