hello, i would like to adjust the degrees on my mopar performance distributor on my stock 318. i read that the vacuum advance adjustment only adjusts the speed that the vacuum advance works but doesnt change the degrees. is there a way to do this or do i just leave it alone, i want to try to get...

hello, i have a 68' 318 with a mopar performance electronic ignition conversion kit that i purchased about 20 years ago. the vacuum advance is leaking.can i replace it with any vacuum advance for a chrysler distributor or is it different? thanks

thanks guys,i cant tackle it now but i will definitely try it as soon as i get a chance.i work on newer fuel injected cars and there are no adjustments.just put it together and start it up.i need more practice on my old cars.much more fun anyway.old cars have a personality.newer cars are boring!

thanks.that is very helpful.i have been trying to tune the distributor on my chevy.it can get frustrating.when i am adjusting the distributor,sometimes it pings,sometimes it doesnt.im learning.i will practice on that before i touch the 'good' car.haha.on a 318 what is an approximate total vacuum...
