    Oil ratings, API classifications and oil integrity

    I would love it if you would send some of that oil off for a VOA. (Just be sure to shake up the bottle before you fill the sample bottle, in case some additives have settled.) I personally think there's a lot less ZDDP in these oils than many people believe...would like to know for sure...

    slant six -> small block

    I have a '67 Belvedere 2-dr sedan with a 225/3-spd. I've been toying with the idea of swapping in a 360/727 out of my '74 Duster. I have a V8 K-member; which brackets/mounts do I need (are all SB brackets/mounts the same)? Also, what about the transmission mount? I guess those are my two...

    Brake Fluid

    I use DOT 5 in my old cars and recommend it. I've never "rebuilt" a system to switch over; I just suck as much old fluid as possible out of the MC, fill it with DOT 5, and bleed it til I see purple at each wheel. No problems!

    Temp. Guage again

    Sounds like the sending unit, or the wire to it, is shorted. With the wire disconnected at both ends, put one lead of your ohmmeter on the wire, and the other lead to ground. Continuity indicates a short. Test the sender by putting one lead on the terminal and the other lead to ground. Here...
