pictures of my '71 charger superbee

Hi Runner!

I'm not sure if your asking me but yes my 74 has the 5mi bumper (the shocks between the bumper and frame) here is the pic of the front of the car... and yes she's up on jack stands and really needs work and paint.
Are you interested in selling the bulge hood?

Awesome!!

There are not enough bad arse column shift bench seat cars out there!

They are just cool.

Plus, you can cruise with your woman right next to you,
and the back seat is an option, not a requirement.

The uncomfortable buckets of that era were probably as useful as birth control seats as anything else.

? Dude, it's a 4 speed. Although, you can still have your gal next to ya'. Kinda fun....

sorry bout the column shift comment!

I saw the bench seat and thought it was a column shift.
I went back and took a closer look and see the cool pistol grip.

A four speed bench seat is a wicked cool old school set up in my book.

Just make sure not to make out with chicks wider than the front bench.

Actually I was asking about the car with the body color bumpers. On Cudas and Challengers those were "elastomeric" bumpers......basically a steel inner covered with a (more or less) foam that was soft and painted.

Sweet car! I owned a '72 Charger for a brief time and then sold it to keep working on my Roadrunner. About the only real cool part on my 72 was it had the "power bulge" hood. Another one of those cars I wish I had kept!

pictures of my 71 Road runner

I love the Charger Super Bees as well. They did not make many of those.

My Road Runner came off the show room floor like this. Some great factory options. Air Grabber, drag pack suspension with Dana 60 3.54 gears, 4 speed with pistol grip, purple violet, front and rear spoiler, hood pins, front power disc brakes, black leather/vinyl bench seat.

I have a strong built 440 six pack in the car now and the original engine on the side. It was the 383 with 300 HP. I have every but intake and heads. Does anyone know what heads and intake was stock for the 383 300 hp engine for 71?

TeamRick-Where did you get that front sway bar?

1971 road runner front sway bar

The front sway bar was on the car when I bought it. It looked very original when the car was done, but there is no way for me to know of it had been added some years back. The car is one of the rear track pack cars with the heavy suspension and Dana rear.

Because I dont think they put them on the front in 71. I know the factory put them on in 72

front sway bar

I looked at the front sway bar this weekend when I was cleaning the car. It definitely is not a new bar, because of the pitting that is on the bar and clamps. It has been cleaned up and repainted. My 70 road runner had one too. Check to see if that came with the factory optioned track cars in 71. Also check with year one techs. They seem to know a lot about Mopars. Do you know what heads came on the 383 300hp engine and intake for the 71?

Sweet

Sweet looking Bee! I have a 71 Charger 500 that I baught from the original owner back in 1984, soon it will look that nice. Have a good one.
