Ok, I have been getting 2 different stories, year one has the 2 heater hoses listed as 1- 1/2" and 1 - 5/8" heater hose for 440's with AC., but yet I do not see any heater hose nipples less than 5/8". Any idea which is correct?
2 - 5/8" hoses or 1 and 1.

I just went out and measured my '68 Coronet R/T. It has AC. The front hose is 1/2" and the rear hose is 5/8".

CORRECTION.... Both of the water pump outlets on my car have 1/2" NPT ends that screw into the water pump, which means the hose fitting ends must be 5/8". My 3" long fitting in the front measures 1/2" diameter midway up on the barrel, but it must be 5/8" where the hose connects. According to the parts manuals, a 1/2" hose fitting would have a 3/8" NPT end, not a 1/2" NPT end.

Sorry that I supplied bum info the first time.

Prior to 70 they had 5/8" hoses. Starting in 70, one hose was a 5/8, the other was a 1/2"

That is what I thought, but Year One and some other books say 1/2 and 5/8 in 69.
Thanks

I've had more 69s than they have.
LOL! I know how that goes. After having WAY too many cars with certain things on them and then some magazine comes out and says it never came that way, it makes me chuckle...
