i have a 1965 belvedere 2 and i was wondering what is the biggest rim tire size i can go with.... want to go to 17 inch rims but i dont know what width i could go and height that will still allow turning and no rubbing on back or front...let me know

I wouldnt know why you couldnt go with a 17x8, you can probably even get a 245/45/17 tire under the rear.

I ran 16x8 4 1/2" backspace American racing Salt Flats on all 4 corners of my 64.Stock ride hight and suspension. Only rear rubbed with (outside) on the passanger side with 4 200+ pounders in the car. 17's should be fine. 8" is as wide as I would go.

i am also looking at 15x8's in the back and 15x6's in the front but i am not sure if i wanna do that or 17's all around...not decided but i want to know my options for sizes...thanks for the help guys

I have 17s on my 64 plymouth fury . My fury has a 65 rearend .The 66 and 67 b body rearend is shorter than 64s.Rear size is 17+8 4 1/2 back space, front is 17+7 4 1/2 back space. Tires are 275 50 17 rear .Front are 225 50 17.Hope this helps. Roy

Sorry dude, you lost me @ 17" rims...:puke:

I hear ya!:icon_hang: Big wheels and thin rubber just don't look right on vintage cars. Especially the old pre 68' stuff. I vote to keep with the 15".

Very nice dodge !Well done.

Thanks, It was a very fun project where everything went pretty smoothly.Only thing I hated was the original single muffler exhaust system. Head pipe gaskets kept blowing out due to excessive backpressure.
