First off, I've been searching the internet for 2 months and just found this site. I need some help. I just bought a 67 GTX Hemi car. This car needs alot of rust repair. Is Year One a good place to get the proper replacement metal? It's going to need the driver and passanger floor pans, trunk entensions, outer wheel houses, lower quarter panels and the where the top meets the quarters it is rusted threw on both sides. Also it is rusted threw the drip rail under the trunk lid. Thanks, Tim

Congrat's on your recent purchase.......Awesome car.

Jeff with 521 Restorations is a member and frequents this site quite a bit. A lot of folks here have used Jeff and the FBBO member discount. He's a great guy and I have had absolutely no issues along with many others. Also, he distributes AMD sheetmetal which is by far the best fitting chrysler certified product. On top of that, it will be a heck of a lot cheaper than going through Year One.

I would look at AMD, they make high quality replacement sheet metal that a Hemi car deserves. Prices are much higher than other reproduction sheetmetal but the other stuff doesn't fit and can be pretty frustrating. Stephens performance is who I buy my sheetmetal from. I bet there is a sponsor here on this site that will give you a discount for being a Gold Member here on FBBO. Nice car by the way.
 
AMD are the ones for your sheet metal...You will be able to find the wheel housings..They have just starting to reproduce those...3 years ago they were not available...Rear quarters,thats gonna be a tough one...I know a guy in florida he,s the 67 rs man...He has some hard to find stuff...If you get in a bind this is the guy to call...Lots of luck!!!Great car!!!!

Thanks for the info. I was pretty sure not every Mopar owner was sending their car to a body shop and spending 100k on a restoration.
 
You bet...... Half of the enjoyment I find in these old mopars is rolling up the sleeves, busting some knuckles and putting her back on the road.
Can't wait to see your GTX get the TLC like she deserves and watch your project unfold.

Great find. I recently purchased a 67 GTX. Just a few weeks ago I scored a nos set of trunk extensions. As you will soon find out, sheetmetal for these cars is not easy to find. I also need lower quarter replacement panels and may end up having to fabricate them myself. I keep hearing AMD has them in the pipe line but I'm not holding my breath. Good luck with your project and enjoy the hunt for parts.
 
Did you find the GTX just south of Ponca city, or around Stillwater?
 
I picked it up in Nebraska. It's a good thing I got it before the OU & Nebraska game.
 
On Racingjunk.com a guy has a "J" code hemi 67 GTX for sale. Car is roller with parts car for $16,900. Supposedly rust free car.
