1968 GTX 440 automatic

$19,995 is the least I will take, don't call if you don't want to pay $19,995. Price is firm.
This is a great car for the money. Search around you will not find a true GTX Mopar in this shape for this money.

1968 GTX, Automatic, AC, No rust, frame off 9 years ago.

It looks like a nice car but it always worries me when someone says it had a frame off restoration on a unibody car.

They drilled all the spot welds out and painted the inside of the frame. Then re-welded the frame to all the pans=frame off :headbang:

I ought to go look at it and say too bad all I could go is 19,950. And tell him I wont offer that since I respect him being firm on price.

Wish he had a better side shot....hard to tell but it looks like it might be a coupe....?

yep,the 2 easiest ways to tell when a chevy guy gets his hands on a mopar. car has fresh "frame off" restoration,or,a really nice car, with the engine compartment and trunk painted black, regardless of outside color.lol. always humor.

But you'd be surprised at how many Mopar guys don't know that the GTX was the top of the line hot rod model and only came as a hardtop. I had a 68 Road Runner coupe drag car years back and it was decked out in GTX trim and no one picked up on it. If they did, they never said anything about it except "cool GTX" or "you don't see many GTX's these days" and this was in the mid 80's..

Yeah....I know. I have "rm21m9a" as part of my primary email address, and most mopar people don't have a clue as to what that is

Too funny. Around here I start talking about a GTX and they try and correct me saying "You mean GTO right?" Heck my car is a 68 Plymouth Sport Satellite and when people ask what kind of car I have I just tell them it is a Road Runner cause if you say it is a Satellite they dont know what that is. It is easier for me to claim Road Runner then to explain what a Satellite is and that it has the same Body as a Road Runner. If they sound knowledgeable I do say Satellite.

I get a kick out of explaining my satelite

LOL. Try explaining to someone what a Belvedere is! Btw, that GTX has this in the VIN RS23L8Axxxxxx
I know the codes pretty good for E bodies but not B's. The S should tell me it's an X right? L for 440?

Tried to go look at it over the weekend but he was going out of town so will try for this coming weekend.....

The s is for special...This was the first time they had a different name for the belvedere platform car...Nice car.I,m more partial to the 67 and 70 models..
Petty Blue 67 GTX
