Looking for a 1968/69 Dodge Coronet/Superbee Power Bugle Hood must be in good shape with the Chrome inserts. Please include pictures and cost and where you are located.

Thanks Mike

Get in line.
Been looking for a few years. Either they were wanting a fortune, or it was a pile of metal that at one time might have been a Power bulge hood and want a way too much for it.

US body does make a fiberglass one, just got to be able to find to the chrome inserts.

I do have a spare `68 that needs a little work, not sure how much yet as I have not stripped it. Has holes for hood pins and evidence of some mud on the topside. I have a bunch of projects going on in my shop right now and probably won't be able to get it out for a closer look until next week sometime. If I recall, it's not all rusty and is definitely useable and includes the inserts which are likely pitted at least a little. I found one that is in a little better shape recently which I will use on the car.

Hood

I have one, however it does not have the chrome insert. This is a really solid hood, th erust u see is just surface rust and will clean up good. I am located in Charleston WV.

Power bulge Hood

Hi, I have a real nice hood and looking to get $700 without the inserts. I also have three sets of inserts that I had restored with the correct textrue finish and chrome plated that match exactely with an NOS one I have. The only thing I havent finished is painting the inserts black. I need to get 300 for the inserts, as this barely covers the plate shop and the metal finishing shop. If interested call my cell for more details and pictures. Thanks, Nick@ 267-733-5659

Sparkykd What do you mean by that??? Because I didn't buy from you??? Don't get upset because I didn't buy anything, if I think it not what I want or your asking to much or what ever. Just don't take it personal

I have a question on the differences between `68 and `69 hoods before I decide which one of these hoods I could let go. How was the extension to the grill attached to the hood in `69?. The one hood that I have that I know is a `68 has a different understructure/frame then the other, so I am wondering if the other might be a `69 hood, but I don't see any evidence of an extension being attached?. Pics today.

Here are pics comparing the 2 that I have, bottom side. We'll get to the topsides and trim when I decide which one I should keep.

I did a little research and it looks like the hood that is black in color is from a `69. There is a `69 Coronet ramcharger hood for sale here recently with the ductwork and it shows some of the same detail on the understructure for attaching the ductwork. I just want to be sure because I need to keep the `68 hood. Here are some pics of the set of hockey sticks with welts that will go with the hood. They cleaned up nice and the pits are mainly in the painted area which meens with a small grinder and some bondo work these could be made nice enough for your weekend show car.
