Um, a gasoline credit card?
Seriously, what is your intended use for your car? That's a big double pumper for a street car with an auto trans. Refresh my cobwebs and list out the rest of your combo.

Use it!
I bet it's right on the money for your CID and top RPM expected. There is a handy calculator on Holley web site that you can use to verify. I would think about jet extensions on the rear jets for hard launchs, and also once you get a good manifold vacuum reading at idle you'll be able to select the correct power valve to install. The jets usually come pretty close for the rated CFM. You'll need to read the plugs to be sure though. I assume you have a higher stall convertor already in the car..... If you don't then the "double pump" might be a bit much on the low end.

Since you have it, give it a shot but DP's are not too good on gas when used in town driving but can be pretty good out on the highway but it depends on your 'foot action'.....

I ran an 850 DP on one of my old 440 71 Challengers that was bone stock except for headers. That carb woke that car up a ton. It loved it. Who drives these cars for mileage anyway? I say run it.

I have one on my 440, sweet carb, it gets about 9-12 mpg, but who cares

I am running a 850 Proform street series carb with electric choke on my 500 stroker. It performs n functions rather well for street use.

This is what I run in the summer when I want to run the car harder.

Your 850 Holley should be just fine, and its nice having a choke when it's cold out.

I run this 850 DP on the mild 440 in my 63 Ply. All I did was change the P/V and jet up a tad. I also drilled the pump shot on the primary side and removed the choke valve. It runs great as I was going to do more to it but it runs so well now I left it alone. Very nice carb. Ron

Runs so well now I left it alone? You mean we can do that? LOL. Looks great. What type of intake is that?

That is the Holley Street Dominator and thanks. Ron

If I thought that he cared about mileage, I wouldn't have said to give it a shot but some are surprised at how bad it can be. Run it but make sure you don't run too rich as it can wash your cylinder walls and everyone knows how good that is for your rings :bootyshake:
