Easy,
my RoadRunner.
The Challenger RT is my everyday car, a great change after driving the same truck for 11 years and enjoying all those years without a car payment.

The GTO is a real 69 GTO with engine built to RAIII, and added Judge spoiler and stripes. It is roadworthy, and has decent amateur/hobbyist body work and paint from a previous owner.

The Javelin is recently roadworthy, I picked it up since it had last been on the road in 88. It has a hundred bucks or so worth of rank amateur driveway body work and paint.

My goal is to do a better job on the paint for my RR. The RR needs more mechanicals, it is currently a yard driver, but has already had some body work and while a worse complete/mechanical start than the Javelin, it is better as a cosmetic/body start.

End is to do the fender tag coded paint,
which looks like this picture I found on the internet.

I am not a high dollar collector and can't pay for everything I want done.
But I have about 5k total in the Javelin right now, including a tranny rebuild and restoring rims and getting new tires.

I started with this

other than that I was missing a piece of roof trim, and a piece or windshield trim.

This is the end result.

With the roadrunner I am missing exhaust, a pair of headlights, turn signals, more trim, bad horn assembly, bad windshield wiper motor, no washer fluid pump, resovoiur, etc. the windshield, etc. etc.

I hope to have a road worthy driver in about 6k total with it. Hope my paint will end up a true ten footer instead of the 30 footer the Javelin ended up.

Great looking year of AMC Javelin ;; Love the red /white & blue paint scheme-

Cool javelin!!!Alot of people don,t really know the road racing history of this car...It kicked alot of butt on the track!!!!
Petty Blue 67 GTX

Nice cars for sure, the AMX isint one i see often, Im told there hard to find parts for anymore, that was a year ago so maybe thats changed. The color code is one thing, but i bet that RR picture you found would look great with a metallic charcoal colored stripe kit, very light metal-flake. not a suggestion just an observation. Ron

Looks like a nice effort for not a lot of money spent. Well done!!

Thumbs up !!
