Hey everybody, I got ripped off by a Joe Suchy using [email protected]. Told me he had a park brake cable for my transmission, I paid through Paypal, and now coming up on three weeks later no part, no response to e-mails, no answer to telephone. I'm a sucker, I don't want anyone else to be. Scott

try to get your money back thru paypal. they are pretty good about it.

Yeah, I think Paypal will eventually make it right, just the hassle, plus I was glad to find the tranny cable. Mine is leaking, folks here had some ideas...I'm going to try to stop the leak at least for a while with shrink tubing or fuel line.

Paypal always sides on the buyer Bar none!!!! If Joe can prove he shipped it with a tracking number that will slow it down but longest wait is about 30 days!

Coming up on 3 weeks? That's kinda jumping the gun a bit ain't it? Does he have a history in screwing people? If something happened like maybe he's in the hospital or something, it could take a bit. I just got over the flu and for about a week, I didn't talk to anyone...didn't even talk to myself! A buddy of mine just spent 3 weeks in the hospital recently and like me, his wife doesn't look at his email....

JOE SUCHY, I believe is pretty respected in the early b body community with parts. I think I would try one more time than notify paypal.
If hes not returning phone calls, I think there is a problem because his wife works with him. She can answer the phone if he's sick.

WHOOAAA!!! Hold on a minute! I can tell you from personal experience that Joe is an A-1 guy. I have bought many parts from him. Once I ordered '64 window trim that I didn't end up needing and he graciously took it back and gave me full credit toward other parts. And that was used stuff, too. Give him a break - it's just him and his daughter and wife. He's not some big company. He may very well have some issue going on none of us know about - maybe even health related or something. You are jumping the gun by yelling fraud with Joe!

If you bought it on eBay they will work toward resolution and refund for part and shipping if you file a claim.

If not, PayPal will also work toward a refund for you

He advertizes in Mopar collectors guide. Give him a call. I think his phone # is in there. I bet your going to get your part. I've heard he A # 1 on the 62-65 mopar site.

I struck out with 3 things I needed from him but I heard he's pretty good.
If your so worried, I'd just go to paypal and get your money back. If its Ebay its easier. Just depends how bad you need the part.

Joe's a good guy i'am sure he is on the road columbus and indy shows and is not at home.

Man that name rings a bell, but I cant put a finger to it. Did he ever use the name "jitchybutt"? Not a joke! I'm serious. From the eastern OH, western PA area?

A lot of guys that sell parts for a living are on the road right now because of the winter swap season.

I've dealt with Joe plenty of times. He even went out of his was to meet me to drop off some parts that I needed. He's not the kind of guy that would intentionly rip you off.

Remember when EVERYTHING took "six to eight weeks for delivery"?

I do usually send an email about the three week period, if I haven't seen or heard anything. If I still don't hear back in about 2 days, I send another, saying I get nervous as it comes up on four weeks, as that's all the time ebay gives for feedback.

Well, I was wrong and I owe Mr Suchy a HUGE apology. Obviously, he exists and is a reputable fellow, too many people are vouching for him. I got panicky and assumed it was an elaborate fake-out as happened to me a few years ago. Clearly I should have been more patient, he must be away from home or indisposed temporarily. I feel bad about this, it's just that supposedly the part was being drop-shipped directly to me, then no response to phone or e-mail.
