Will a newer 6.1 Hemi fit in a space of the same as a 360ci/5.9
or a 318ci/5.2 in a older car 1975-79 and what needs to make
it work? Will it fit a 727HD torqflight trans or does it need to be
replaced too? Thanks

Its a little wider than a LA engine. A small block 727 or 904 will bolt up but you need am MP conversion flex plate or one of the other adaptors.

I dont recall seeing anyone doing the swap in a 1975-79 car. So, you may have to fab up your own mounts and use manifolds rather than headers. Not sure if any of the headers will fit your application...

Sounds cool though! Keep us posted if you decide to do it.
