No, trust me it's due to dyslexia. The mixing of letters, trying to see the word
I'm looking for. I know the difference of meanings of words, just can not see
the words in spelling. I know because I've had this problem all my life. I have
an IQ of over 150, so I'm not stupid! Read up and you'll see that some of the
smartest have this disorder.

I must have dislexia too. I use the wrong form of a word all the time...All this time I thought I didn't pay close enough attention in English class... lol

you just created a heterograph, where they sound the same but are spelled differently. Though it may fall under your concept of dyslexia, that is as common as someone typing "their" instead of "there" or "flour" instead of "flower".

Your "IQ" was never in question, so I am unsure why you felt you had to display such a lofty score, unless of course you are a member of MENSA.... but anyway, back onto topic.

Just wondered what the story was on this car. Did somebody make a stock car out of a legit Bird?! OMG how much "corn liquor" do you have to consume to do such a thing!!! Don't have a facebook login. Really.

Ron, I remember the article that this picture is from. Never forgot it.
This pic might have also been an add of some type but the same pic was in the pages
of Hot Rod I think it was with the article and other pics including under the hood.
I think Willie had a dual snorkel set up on this car.
I can remember this stuff and rock band trivia but not what color my wife likes best. LOL

I was at the Spring Fling this year. That guy is definitely a talker. But what was more interesting was his tow vehicle/rv thing. I kick myself for not bringing a camera to a car show that thing was classic. So was the owner.

Yes i believe that particular picture is from a add. He, the last i knew is still around but i don't know if he does as much as before to be honest. His wife for anyone who doesn't know was Tomiko 3rd from the left i believe. She drove one also. I cant remember where i even put my wife let alone her favorite color. Big Willie and his wife Tomiko organized the 'Brotherhood of Street Racers' to try to put a stop to the street gangs and drugs. Good Chrysler played a part in it with the cars... Maybe the Mod could tell more of how many cars Chrysler used with Willy, i have no idea myself it just gos to show that Mopars play a role in so many things.

I was watching a episode of Adam12 on Hulu that was called drag racing and I swear that it is his Daytona in the background of one of the scenes. Cool episode with Mopars.

So, everyone has talked about a Daytona in Lynnwood Wa, sititng outside. Bob Kropp i guess has talked to the guy and looked at the car, and said its a basketcase now. I had never seen it, so i went to find it today, so sad how someone can let a car get that bad, especially a winged car these days

look it has ac

true story in about 1977 at channel 2 in houston texas parked in back was a superbird ,rear window removed & what looked like a dog house built outward from window out to the end of trunk, top of wing cut to clear dog house & 220 volt ac unit hanging off the back i often wonder about that car,

What he probably allready knows

I agree with the most of you. Restore it or get rid of it. It took me 9 yrs to restore my 1968 gtx and about 35k ( he probably knows it will cost him a fortune to restore) but its almost done and i remember a car restorer saying the same thing to me. Do the car up right or sell it to someone who will.... I did it up right!

i hate people that say their classics are not for sale or the same going to restore it someday routine. there is 2 dodge chargers not to far from me just going to waste. i talked to the owners and that is what they told me. 1 of the chargers is a 68' and the other is a 69' they are in need of a mopar freak like me to get them and redo them.

I know exactly which car you're talking about. One of the DC.com members, xs29j8Bullitt, posted these pics & explained the story.

"The owner was a quadrapeligic who really loved Superbirds. The center section of the rear bumper was hinged to pivot down and a ramp used to allow the owner access... note the viewing windows. At the time most just considered them funky old cars."

To all: The guy has the right to have a dream! Just because he does not maybe have as much money as the next person does not mean he can not have the car you may want. That does not make him a Jerk?! If you guys really don't want to see the car go to waist, set up a donation fund to help him complete the car and be happy for him.

Yeah he has a right to dream, but to let it sit out and rot is inexcusable. It really ticks me off:angryfire: when people have a car that they dont know anything about much less have the money or talent to restore and hang onto it fostering a false sense of ability. If you love the damn thing so much how about putting inside your garage instead of a bunch of other crap in the garage since your a friggin hoarder. Thats the reason most people cant let it go. Time to let it go to home where it will be properly preserved and respect and enjoyed.
