$5600 obo

I LOVE that car.

That's a good price, and I DO love the car.

I am, however, waist deep in my 66 and ankle deep in the 74. I'm also working on 2 motorcycles, and putting a skin on, and power in my "garage" (which still doesn't have a floor). My Dakota is going to need at least 2 tires soon (@minimum $125 each) and an alignment. I'm building an engine hoist attachment for a pnuematic/hydraulic bumper/frame lift (which I'm also restoring), and remodeling a family room and a kitchen, with a bathroom next in line.

I would love to have a T Top car, and this one is beautiful, but.....

Oh, and I just put a cam sensor in the P//T and it's due for a $700+ timing belt next month (I'm not doin' that one myself!).

To be serious for a bit- Not at all, we don't work that way. Those are all my projects, although the kitchen is mostly hers (and she will pay for most of it), the family room is mostly mine, becaue it's really more like my den and music room, and the bathroom is both. All the other stuff in the previous post is car related.

I really do like T Top cars. I think they are a good compromise between a convertible (less leaks and wind issues) and a sunroof (more open).

I LOVED my turbo CS Daytona T Top, but it never went a month straight without an electrical or 5 speed problem.

I recently just missed a 1980 Aspen R/T T Top with no rust and a perfect interior for $1200. I think it went to the crusher :( I really didn't have the money or space for that either, but then after 7 months on craigslist (and finding out it was 1 of 79 made), I figured I would splurge, but missed it.

I'm excited to have my Charger sunroof car, but it's not quite the open air feeling.

That car is just like the car from the magazine ad "Ever wonder what happened to the kid who used to burn up 11th street?". It looks like that ad inspired someone to order a Magnum GT to match.
Around 1980, before I even had a driver's license, there was a bright red '78 Magnum GT on our local Dodge dealer's used car lot. It had T-tops, and a red interior. I sat in it for a while and was impressed with how "macho" the whole car was. The Magnum GT definitely was more of a "man's car".

Yep that's the ad. I remember seeing that ad in Hot Rod magazine. There's something about that photo. It makes the car look so evil and intimidating. That's also probably the first time Dodge referred to itself as "Mother Mopar" in any of their ads.

Update:
I have a couple of offers, with the top offer of $6000 so far
Waiting for conformation or a better offer that come before
he sends any money for it. $6200 OBO

OK, The guy that wanted this car emailed and talked to me on the phone, now nothing?
WTF!? If your going to change your mind at least let me know! Well, I guess it's back up
for sale? Make me an offer! Need it gone by the end of the month or it's getting stored
at a friends and parted out for my other Magnums and eBay. I no longer have the funds
to pay for storage fees every month. [email protected]

I've now had 4 offers and people telling me that they want this Magnum? Two have agreed
to the price range I'm asking. One of them supposedly looking for cheapest transport? I've not
heard back from him? Two others offering way less then it's worth, I guess thinking that I
need the money so bad that I would just let it go for nothing?

The truth is, I have offers totaling over $3000 for just some of the parts from this car and I'd still
have most of the Magnum left to sell later! Remember I have other Magnums in storage, including
another Red/White E58 w/t-tops and my Loaded Triple Black, so I'm only letting this one go
because I bought it on a whim seeing it on eBay. This Magnum has way more "Car show" extras
then most Magnums out there!

I know it's sacrilege to part out such a rare Magnum?! I do need the money but, I have no incentive
to just let it go for nothing, knowing that I will get the money I need or more from it by parting it out.

If your wanting a truly Rare Magnum, this is it! More that 9 outta 10 of the 1978-79 Magnums for
sale are the more common XE's. And 9 outta 10 GT's don't have a HP Engine packages under the
hood. This is a XE/GT packaged Magnum with the T-tops option and the same performace package
as the 1979 Chrysler 300's but, more than five times rarer that the 300's with the same!

Now saying that! Try finding one with a good non-faded/rotted interior plastic? This one has a near
mint Red interior! NOS fender flares included! Tons of original paperwork including window sticker
and the very rare unused Gold key! And much, much more!!?????

Yes, it needs paint and a little bodywork? It's a 30+ year old car that has never been repainted or
restored (besides the right quarter)

Check out the prices others want for there Magnums, taking in mind of the conditions there's are in
and/or the options there's have??!! There's a few that want the same or more that what I'm letting
this one go for, in half the condition and options.

First $5600 gets it before the end of May!

OK, for all you Yahoo's out there calling and emailing me! NO, I'm not giving the
Magnum away for $2000, $3000 or even $4000!?
If you aren't serious, don't waste
my time! Your not going to get a E58/GT in this condition for that! Go find yourselves
some common XE's because you have no clue or are trying to take advantage of me
needing to sell it? If so, the jokes on you! I WILL dismantle it for parts first. It's worth
more in parts for the price I'm asking! :D Plus I have other Magnums, another Magnum
GT E58 w/t-tops with even more options and my Triple Black tow pkg w/pwr moonroof,
windows, doors, seat, trunk, antenna and so on. I'll keep parts for them and sell off the
rest.

And NO, I DO NOT, HAVE TO TAKE $4000 for it?! You know who you are!? LMAO

The last 1979 Magnum GT (E58) w/t-tops that sold on eBay was a real Rust bucket
and the interior was totally trashed & spray-can painted plastic, mis-matched wheels
& tires (No GT rallyes wheels) and had NO fender flares, no GT badging, no paperwork,
no t-top bag, no power locks, no power trunk or even close to all the extras I have! I
would hope mine is worth more than that one? It Sold for $2,700.00

If you are looking for a Rare Magnum "GT" w/t-tops and the E58 package then this
is it! For $5600.00 or Real offer and/or Trade!

It would sure look good in my garage. Bump for a neat car. If I didn`t have my 71 340 EV2 Duster I bought from the original owner or my "gulp" everyday sleeper car(89 Cavi Z-24, or should I say ZZZ-Z24) with a 3400 engine swap and 5-speed and working A/C (all new lol) I would try to get it. Top is a short video.

Nice Duster! Had one too, mine was a 71 yellow/black w/4 factory
Hurst 4spd, sharkstooth grill, spoiler, rallye dash w/tach and the
Real 340Wedge on the hood! Wish I'd never sold that car. :(

I've SOLD the dual snorkel air cleaner!
No longer comes with the Magnum.

Optional deal:
Will take $4600 W/O the NOS Fender flares, NOS T-top bag and the dealer parts book.
