rear leaf spring rebuild

getting ready to rebuild rear leaf springs on a 65 sate. how hard is it and do they make a rebuild kit , look can't find anybody who makes a kit. thanks
 
I did mine a couple years ago and got the clamps center bolts, the zinc sheets that goes between the springs and bushings at Mopars by Crane, but they went under. Try a spring shop that re-arches springs
 
C. Did you count the number of leafs in your springs, I found out today my pass side spring had seven leafs whereas my drivers side had only 6. What`s up with that/

It's a high performance setup for drag racing and street hot rodding. The rear end torques over counterclockwise while the engine torques over clockwise. The biased leaf spring setup helps counteract that and helps keep the car flat on the launch. The factory did this too on their hi-po models.
 
OK, good to know....i just moved the battery to the right rear corner of the trunk so there are two steps in the right direction.
