leaf spring ?

What is the spring leaf count supposed to be for a 68 Charger R/T w/ 440, 4spd, & a Dana? I currently have 6 on each side.
 
i have a 68 Coronet R/T w/ a 440, it has 6 leaf springs and nothing on the car has been changed to my knowledge, hope this helped!!

Uh, it's supposed to have more leafs on the right side than the left. The engine torques over clockwise (looking from the rear) and the rear tries to torque over counter clockwise and is the reason for the extra leafs on the right....
 
How much higher does the factory set up make the right side of the car?

This site agrees with Cranky about the extra spring: http://www.oldcarmemories.com/content/view/19/113/ I should have added a pic when I posted the original question. :eek:ops: For my make-up I have in addition to the main leaf I have 3 leafs that have squared off ends and 2 leafs that have rounded ends. The 2nd leaf is about 4.5" shorter than the main (measured to center of the bushing) and the others are about 9" to 10" shorter than the previous leaf. See pics below. The 1/2 spring is throwing me since I don't know what that is. Both sides are the same so what do I need to do to get the correct set-up? Any help?

This isn't the greatest pic to demonstrate, but if you look at the left spring, all are regular length springs. Look closely at the right, and you'll see that 2 springs are cut off right at the end of the spring perch, those are half leafs. It seems they give a better wrap up like that and like said above, 440 cars, etc all got em standard, with some cars being optioned with em. They work great.
