Hi everyone,my friend is haveing brake problems,When he applys his brakes the callipers ,wont release all the way.and then the brake pedal becomes has hard as a rock.I have the ideal that the flex lines are collapesing on the inside ,but im not sure, any ideals
Thanks

That sounds like exactly the problem. Have your friend disconnect one of the hoses to see how fast fluid runs out of it

Mine also did that when I adjusted the rod in the m/c to far forward. I moved it back half the distance that I moved it forward and it was fine.

Does this happen after everything gets hot?Can you get your hands on a brake pressure gauge? Then you could see the pressure at the caliper and the master.

Yes i beleive it happens after it gets ran for a while, will let you know how it turns out
Thanks again
Paul

Did he recently do a disc to drum swap?, if he did and didn't change the master cylinder it could be the residual check valve for the front brakes it would cause the calipers to drag, I know because I did a disc swap on a '70 Road Runner that had manual drums years ago and I kept the drum master and the brakes would barely release...I pulled out the check valve for the front brakes and all was fine.

Replace the lines problem solved. Also while your at it replace the rear rubber line. It's also a good idea with all three rubber lines off. Slowly push a couple master cylinders of flued through the system. Just fill the master lay the cap on it and push the pedal down real slow. You don't want to squirt the fluid out just a nice stream.

WE replaced the front flex lines ,bench bled the m/c ,and re bled all the line, havent heard from him since so things must be okay.
Thanks for all the help
Paul
