Figured I'd start something here....
My 66 is not full out race but I'll run down the basics.....
66 Plymouth Satellite with 30 over 440..Iron 346 heads...
M1 single plane and a holley 800 cfm carb with proform main body....
Rev manual valve body 727, 8" dynamic converter
742 case 8 3/4 with 4:10's and 28x9x15" rear tire
Full interior and exhaust
Other than body/paint It was Assembled in my single car garage and driveway.
Have 7 runs on it total....best to date is 11:[email protected] mph May of this year.
I haven't hard launched the car and it's got plenty left in it but I have to add a roll bar before I take it out again....
I have a bigger carb for it but that has to wait also....

Looks great to me and the performance is still at a fun and easy level. NHRA said to cage it huh? Or you just now your gonna be there quick enuff? (<G>)

Need a bar at quicker than at 11:49,but it's the mph I'm not comfortable with. Just have my 40 plus year old seat belts and helmet...Went to a track rental this May and a Duster there went 10:[email protected] that's less mph than I ran...If I launched at around 4500 or so I feel I could get low 11"s, but I won't attempt it without the bar...I'm going on 59 this October and would like to take the grandson out to the strip someday so I'm not happy tempting fate...Younger days yeah I'd go for it...

We have been working on 2 66 Bels for a couple of years, one a Bel I Hemi/auto/dana looking for low 10 and the other a bel II bighemi/Gforce/dana looking for 8s.

One full out pro/race, one street crusier.

Lots and lots and lots of "modifications" but no exterior body changes.

Both are time capsules, with all the neat stuff we wanted, of what we owned years ago.

Always glad to steer you to the most relaible vendors, for the stuff done.
Cool, If I had my 66 back when I was 18 they wouldn't believe it..In my neck of the woods if you could run low 13:00's you were one of the fastest things around...

LOL, I remember back in the day just that same thing. A good street car was that quick and mean ones were true mid and quicker 12's.
The insane drove 11 sec. cars on the street when I was a kid.
Times have changed, times have changed!

Sounds like a nice easy combo. Whats it got for a cam ?

very sweet race car,im building a dual purpose 66 coronet and its gonna suk putting in a cage.Lets people know it runs. i,ve got a indy head 500 stroker with a 585 lift solid roller with a 1150 dominator ready to drop in so i,m pretty sure i,ll be in cage territory.

Gary, nice looking '66. Does the rollbar need to be added at 10.90?
Yes, Unless it's a convertible then you need a bar at 13:49...NHRA ..If you have modified from the firewall back..floors and such other than wheel tubs, then I think they want a cage at 10:99...Still I guess it all comes down to the track you're at how much you can push it at a TT or rental....

Post Pictures when you can...That's a big carb!

Gary your car looks and runs great. And as you know I love the black rims on the back as it gives the car the 60's SS look and of course I run the black rims out back also. You have one great looking and running B-body. Ron

Let me know when I can bring it to MD for the bar install....:D Post that bad boys combo when you get a chance....

Gary I think its 9.99 for a cage..and I think its 11.99 for a bar..thats without looking at the book..LOL..if my memory serves me...tough getting older...

and I believe you are most right about the 13.99 for a convert to have a bar...

They changed that a few years back to bring more cars in without saddling them with the bars. And I guess to get on equal footing with the IHRA..You can go 10:00 flat with only a bar if your basically stock from the fire wall back if you do tin work and such the cage comes in earlier....Here's the NHRA new rules...http://www.nhra.com/contacts/tech_faq.html
