I have a Champion and am very happy with it. I have a 4 core 26" in my rr. But I didn't bother with the electric fan and shroud. Just use the standard 7 blade and it runs as cool as the other side of the pillow.

Brian, how does it fit? Could I see some pics of it too?

i AM A DISTRIBUTOR FOR CHAMPION RADIATORS , THEY ARE GOOD COOLING BUT THEY ARE not made in the USA and the fit and finish is just so/ so
Where are they made? In China?

I'll see if I can get you some pics tomorrow. I will tell you that on mine... The drivers side mount holes lined up with no issue and the 727 cooling line hook-ups where spot on where they should be. I had to drill a couple of holes on the passenger side since those didn't line up right.

Thanks Brian, I went ahead and ordered one up, so we will see how it looks, cant beat the price! I hear ya on the mounting holes, I had to drill my support out for the 26er I put in already. Thanks for th input man.

Just a couple of other things I thought of-

1- If you had a non a/c car with both the upper and lower rad hose on the drivers side on the old rad just order an a/c upper and it will fit perfectly.

2- When you get the rad....1st thing you need to do is take it out of the box and check for twisting/wracking. Mine had a 1/2" twist in it from upper right to lower left. I had read some people complained about as much as 2 inches of twist in theirs. The 1/2" for me was a non-issue but if it had had a 2" it would not have been workable. This is NOT just a Champion thing. It is all aluminum rads that can potentially have this twisting/wracking.

Good to know man! Did the people with a 2" twist get it to fit or send it back?

I read that in other forums before I bought mine. Most claim they sent it back for replacements.

I dont think my clutch fan will fit though. You said you use a 7 blade fan on your car, with or without a clutch?

Theres a be cool rad on the madison wi craigslist right now for 150.00 with a shroud. under auto parts, black earth is the town its located in. Try that one.

I tried the the 5 blade viscous fan it didn't fit. Used the stock 7 blade non-viscous/clutch.

I have a champion and its not cooling my big block. Appears the tubes are too close together for good air flow. not sure. I have tried everything and now i think i,m going to have to step up to a be cool unit.In its defense though my 440s far from stock.

My 383 is far from stock as well. 496 stroker 555hp/622ft lbs. I have never had an issue with mine. The stock 22" rad on the other hand...couldn't keep this thing cool.

I have a 4 core Champion radiator with a shroud and the stock fan in my 67 GTX and it works great. I have had it out in a 101 degree day , in traffic and so on and it worked great. Just my .02 GTX
