Things went bad with FBO

Eagleone, that's because vipers are disposable toys. real jets have twin tails, and two motors :)

I Completely agree

I have never used FBO or know the OP, but I think it is perfectly ligit to answer and defend oneself in a situation. As someone else said, there are two sides to every story. Now we have heard both. Make up your own mind.

I would have to tend to agree 100%... If someone is bashing your company, especially a small company, & you "don't have a reputation for a bad product", if you don't defend your product quickly & with a reasonable response, it can wipe out your whole customer base pretty quickly especially in a small customer base type for electronic Chrysler type CPU's, it's a 2 way street buyer bashed & the supplier responded, it's his right to respond to any allegations of sub standard product or service... And it's also the "right of the customer" to bash the product, as long as, if what they are saying is true & not a fabrication or not factual... I see a bunch of guys bashing companies on all of these forums that I have dealt with & most of them are wrongly accusing the companies because they did something wrong or had another issue, that they didn't include in their side of the story (hiding facts) so they wouldn't look bad on the forum... Many products are worthy of being bashed also, but the company should have the same opportunity to defend their products... Man I'm sounding so PC in my older years....Just my opinion

I have dealt with Don in the past also and he has been overly helpful. Many a times I would go over to his place and he would help me out with stuff or in quite a few cases sell me things for such an incredible price that I couldn't argue. He also turned me onto a local engine builder that cleaned up my 383 that was butchered by another shop. My only complaint is that he moved hours away and I can't sit around & B.S. with him anymore!!! Damn you, Damn you!!
I still turn many people onto him and will continue to do so.

I dont see how Don's answer is unprofessional ? The member attacked his product and did not tell it was bought in 2005. Don has the right to defend his product and tell the truth when acused of selling bad parts. I was surprised to read that as I always here good about Don's FBO. I bought Cometic head gaskets from Don about 5 years ago and had great service. As for my ign I still use a 10 year old orange MP box and it has worked fine running in the 10's and pushing over 6500 rpm. Ron

From my perspective, as having been a prior small-business owner for decades, is this: Don, " touche ! " ... your reply was direct, correct, and to the point based on facts. Years ago, when it was word-of-mouth, it was bad enough when you had a customer who was so out-in-left-field with their baseless complaint, or simply wanted something they were clearly not entitled to. Nowadays, with this technology/internet crap, anybody can spout off the same, with much wider & greater consquences. A business owner has every right to confront allegations, and defend his reputation & livelihood. Anybody in business knows, a bad allegation to your business integrity & reputation is like a sword... you can't reply with a butterknife.

dont know don but if he sells parts that i need i will call him first,I like his response

Its a shame that bad news travels so much faster than good news. I have dealt with many members in the mopar industry, and have good stories for nearly all. Don, I have never dealt with you, but I still am not swayed by this post in case i ever need your services. Good luck sir.

I have some props for FBO. I was having some trouble with a newly built motor that didn't quite run right. I figured it was a distributor advance problem but didn't ahve the know how to go much further. Don asked me all about the motor, car, setup and did we did get a distributor custom curved, ECU and coil. The thing ran great. Don did just as he said - he takes the time and answers the phone. I can't say I've gotten much better service from many places. I'd recommend them.
