Is there a current production auto that has the same lug pattern as a '73 Charger. I have heard that Ford rims will fit. I have a project car and want to buy used wheels and tires so I need to know which current rims will fit.. From reading the threads I need to look out for the rim width and setback as well.

You have a 5 lug with 4.5" bolt pattern on your car. Most Mopars use this pattern (some early A bodies don't) and also Fords and a few others.

My experience is that Mopar wheels will fit a Ford but I have not been able to get Ford Wheels to fit a Mopar. I don't remember if I put the wheels from my 87 Diplomat on my 96 Intrepid or the other way around. The new rear wheel drive Mopars might be the same but not certain. Gregg

I have rims on the Charger that came with car and I was told they were Ford rims. The holes in the rims were enlarged indicating that Ford rims don't exactly fit a Dodge.
Thanks for the feedback.

Ford wheels typically have smaller openings in the center. Some AMC wheels also work.
I think lots of newer wheels are 5 on 4.5, even other brands.
New Mopar/Jeep stuff is also the same, but offsets can be quite different.

If I'm at a U-pull, and see wheels I like, I take one off and try it on a 5th Ave or F body.
So far, most fit!
