Just found the site and love it. Here are some pics of my new project. This car has been in our family for 30 years. It was painted black and the original bench seats were tossed. I will be restoring it to as original as possible. It had earlier posted it has the original motor, but now know that not to be the case as this 383 is from a 68 Plymouth. It does however have the original 727 tranny. I have bought new Mopar authentic full rear quarters, wheel wells, and rocker panels. I am going to pick up a bench seat next weekend. No one tld me how expensive this would be, LOL. It will be great when done and is fun getting it there. I appreciate all the advise and tips as I am no expert. The pic of the door jam is to show the original Y4 color. Thanks.

According to your fender tag in the other post, it came from the factory with a bench seat. It is easy to tell with the carpet out, as bucket seat cars had reinforcement plates welded into the floor pan where the seats bolted to the floor.

Sorry I meant to say the original bench seat was tossed when someone put in the buckets. I am going to pick up an original bench seat next weekend.

that will be kick a$$ when youre done. great project, and welcome

You sure the motor is FROM a 68 and not just cast in 68? Did you go by the VIN stamping on is? Look at the machined pad above the pan rail in line with the second cylinder (not #2)

Thats going be a fun ride when your done plus your keeping it in the family, thats going be a fun project. Go slow and enjoy it.

Where are you getting a seat? Can you get me one for a 69 road runner?

LOL
