Any ever ship an eng. Block? I found one in CA and I'm in KS. I'm wondering what it would cost to have it shipped?

I once shipped a 340 block to california. The buyer made the arrangments but I think he said it was around $300. I just cut down a pallet and strapped the bare block to it. he arranged for the trucking company to pick it up.

A bunch you may get with a shipping container place, I have done that find someone shipping a container from there to close to you , sometimes you can get on another shipment , unless it is somewhat special it's really not worth while.

I just had a 426 block shipped to me in WI from MA. It was reasonable because the shipper had a connection in the shipping business. Otherwise it looked like it was going to be pricey. I think it came by plane to Milwaukee - then on a truck to me. I would suggest putting a post on the forum about transport needed. You may be able to get it to hitch a ride with one or more people - or at least get it closer to you so that you can go get it on the last leg. I once helped shuttle a set of four 19.5" rims with tires from the east coast to San Francisco for a fellow TDR member. I had the WI to SF leg of the trip. I don't think it cost him a penny as all of us involved in moving it didn't even have to go out of our ways on planned trips to get it to him. Throwing some fuel money toward anyone who helps you would be a good idea, though.
