I have a '68 Super Bee with a bench seat. Car came to me w/o front seat belts. I'd like to buy & install but there seems to be 60" and 74".

Which is the correct stock lap belt?

Thanks in advance,

PK

If you have a bench seat and the straps bolt down to the floor use the 74". I bought one for my front passenger side off FeaBay and they told me the 60" or so would work but my skinney son couldn't even get it around him. The other thing to check is the length of the individual belts. The ones I got had the male side on a strap about 14" or so with all the length on the other. This makes it necessary to have the male straps in the middle of the seat.

Stumper....

Thanks for the reply and length info.

To be honest, I can't see mounting holes for the lap belts, when the seat is folded forward. I assume that the new carpets are hiding the mounting holes on the sides of the transmission tunnel and by the doors(?)

I'll peel the carpets back a little and look.

So I write to a repro seat belt vendor:

[FONT=&quot]Hi,

I have a 1968 Dodge Super Bee with a bench seat. What is the stock length seat belts that came on the car?

I wasn't sure if I should order the 60" or 74".

Thanks,

Pete

Here's my answer:

[FONT=&quot]Front or rear?

I write back "Isn't the rear always a bench?"

WTF?

You can probably see the welded in bungs for the belts better on the underside of the car if you can get at it. If not a bit of poking around with a hat pin will find them.
