Anybody recognize this 69 Road Runner

When I was looking to buy my car a few months ago I saw a ton of suspicously cheap vehicles that were parked in front of that house. My guess is it's a scam but they have a little more in the description than what I saw.

I came across one that had a '69 Hemi Charger for $19,999 and decided to call and could barely understand what the guy was saying. When I started asking him about the engine, rear end, carb, etc., he just kept reciting what was in the description. I hung up and he sent me about 5 text messages saying to send money and he would ship the car ASAP. Unfortunatley these scammers are making it hard to search for a new car.

Well, if it's not a scam, this same person has an ad on classic car trader. I believe his price was $15K. Looks like the auction is way over that. What makes you think it's a Hemi beside the wrong plymouth paint job?

Also, the person selling this has only been selling clothes and shoes and now goes to a Hemi car??? Hmmmmm

Look at the engine compartment, I know what a Hemi looks like.. I didn't say original Hemi either.

Ahhh, lol. I was going off of memory from the auto trader add an easy month ago. Well, if they don't respond, it was shady at the very least, if not a scam. Good luck. Too bad you didn't see it before it went on ebay. Could have saved a good $10k if it's real.

Wow, a hemi car for 10K and it's near perfect? I hope somebody don't get it in the shorts. I asked the seller for some info on the engine, no answer... Did it again, no answer... Did a VIN check, not enough digits. Also, no mention that it had a hemi???? If I had another hemi, yer damn tootin I'd mention it in the add. That ups the price of the car 3 fold...

I'm not trying to insinuate the seller is trying to rip anybody off, I just think somethings fishy and hate to see another Mopar Enthusiast get the "High Hard One".

there are videos of that RR on youtube- hes had this on eBay before...something weird.

I wonder what he would have said if you told him you were in the vicinity and would like to come over and check it out.

I think he is a member over on 69 roadrunner dot net website. I wonder if he knows its for sale? I just PM'd him over on the other site. Lets see what the answer is.

Awesome! I'm sure that may help out the OP, I know I would be hesitant to bid. I've had one person on the flea bay try to scam me already. Put a real nasty taste in my mouth.

I tried finding the ad on Classic Car Trader again, but it seems as though it's gone or altered. But, I'm pretty certain it was listed for $15K and probably have a printout of it that I can try to find if you'd like me to. If not, I'm sure with certain details of the ad a google cached result could be pulled. Let me know if you'd like me to keep digging.

I tried to flag it on EBAY since they also said cashier check which is against ebay policy (you must use paypal to be covered), but to no avail, maybe I'll put a million dollar bid to save somebody from gettin stroked in the keister.

He never emailed me back, but I doubt he is selling it. He has a lot of money in it and the ad doesn't sound like him writing it. I bet its a scam.

but the ebay add says rm23h.... i dont understand how anyone could get hosed... its a HIGHLY modified h code car which now has a hemi ... clearly any buyer would know that they are getting a crap fake car

Because this seller probably will take your deposit or the entire purchase price and run off with your money because they dont actually own the car and have stolen the pics from the rightful owner....hypothetically of course.
