Question about motor mounts

When I pulled the 383 out of my car it was sitting pretty crooked. I honestly feel that when the previous owner installed it, it wasn't done correctly. Anyone have any photos of how the mounts are to be bolted on?

It looks like they mount on the front side of the engine...IF 63 is the same. Thanks 72Satellite440

NO!

Drivers and passenger side both brackets go on the BACK side of the ears on the block if you're using '63 stuff.

When I went to put my 383 in my 69 RR I thought the motormounts were really loose and weak in design so I drilled the main bolts larger and used grade 8 bolts all around. Turned out good and the motor doesnt flop around like a hooked fish when accelerated hard anymore.
