Have a rebuilt L-78 375HP 396 BB Chevy $4000.
This would be one of chevys top guns for 1970 and was quite the handfull in a chevy Nova.Way underated in HP for insurance reasons,same engine in a Vette was 425HP.This one codes out to a 70 SS396 Camaro and is 1 of 600 produced for the Camaro in 70.It would most likley cost double of what i am asking to duplicate this if you could even find one to start with.PM me if needing any of the specific casting # or stampings.

May consider something Mopar in trade.Maybe something GM?Just about anything cool.

is that a burnish brown nova? funny thing if it is, my family actual has a real L78 one... good luck with the package deal it would make a real mean street machine!

Yep it is brown and is a real 396 car but originally a L34 350 HP 396 which there was actually less made and far more scarce.Only around 2000 of the L34 cars compared to around 6000 of the 70 L78 cars

They made 8 thousand big block Novas in 1970 alone???

How many big block Darts and A body Barracudas did they make total of all three years??

I was wrong for the 70 SS396 Novas and this was the last year for the BB in the Nova.
1802 of the 350HP 396s displacement was actually 402 but still badged as a 396
3765 of the 375HP 396s
