I have a 1967 coronet with the 2bbl 318. Eventually I want to do a mild build and go to a 4bbl in the process.
Question is, I have the opportunity to get a Mopar cast iron intake (#4323352-2; build date 5-11-88) for next to nothing. I understand there is some difference of opinion regarding the performance of this vs an aftermarket intake, but my question is simply one of fitment. Will this intake fit on my older 318?
Thanks in advance for the help!!

I'll second the use of the nearly free 360 intake. I used one on a 318 years ago with matching TQ carb and it ran great.

In a nut shell, yes, it will bolt on and go.

The intake port window are a good bit larger than the 318's (head) Port window. But they can be ported out to match the 360 intake port window.
Depending on level of performance your looking for, a ported 318 head will make more power than a cheaper un ported 360 head and do it more efficiently.
Just use 360 valves in the 318 head as a min. 1.88-1.60, use 2.02's for higher RPM usage and power.

Thanks Rumblefish; I know that I'll be having some machine and valve work done, but I do want to keep the 318 heads and planned on some porting if needed. Your advise is much appreciated!!

i must agree with all the previous post's, a good solid reliable combo. the thermo quad 360 manifold and the stock heads will be fine but be sure to gasket match the heads to the manifold. if you want to step up to alum in the future i recommend the Mopar M1 dual plane, great powerband.
