Hey Peeps, new to the Forum and I thought I would share My recent purchase with You.

I have a knowledge of Zero on this type of car, but I know I like it, so that's enough for Me.

It needs a few things to finish it off, so I can get it on the road and drive it, but I'll get there.

Thanks Ronnie, it has a 440...but I believe the car was a 318 car?
I bought it here in Australia, from the Guy that imported it.

I have no information about the car and it has a few bits missing and needs a few parts....and I would like to find out somethings, but I have'nt asked anyone Yet, nuthin worse than a Newbie askin a 1000 questions in His first week. lol

Welcome,
Ask away. It gives us a chance to repeat ourselves with someone who actually wants to listen. Congrats on the car, learning is half the fun, good luck with your new toy. Cheers!

Ok, the main problem I have is the rear spring, they are miss matched and I think they are not B body?(seem too short) can someone give Me an eye to eye Measurement for Coronet springs....and where would be the place to buy some, that would ship to Australia?

All the seatbelts are missing..I see a place in Canada selling repro one's, are they any good?

and I think a trim strip should be on the front of the bonnet (hood to You Blokes)

The Electrics have issues....anyone have a workshop Manual for a '69 Coronet for sale?

that'll do for starters, lol

Cool car! Good luck. I really admire your courage and willingness to endeavor on something like this way down south. It is crazy difficult to do a Mopar in the US. Can't imagine how tough it will be in Australia; no easy access to parts and you are standing updie down while working on the car!!!

Rear springs are mismatched U say? There is an option for HD rear springs that have different number leafs. Is that what U mean mismatched.

Try a compant called snakeoyl for the seatbelts. 20$ a set. Cant beat them. Ill get the exact web adress for you

Thanks for the replies Fella's..........Yes miss-matched, as in 2 different springs..1 is about 2" s shorter than the other, 1 has 7 leaves, 1 has 6...go figure..

and thanks for the Snake tip........and No I've never heard the one about being upside down. I often wondered why My spanners always fell up when I dropped them? lol

Like I said.....lots of questions about bits.....I'm also missing the park/foot brake cable and My steering wheel is shot....are these parts something easily obtained..without having to sell My left nut?

See if you can find part numbers on the springs, they may be the Police or Hemi suspension springs. What is the V.I.N. of the car as it will tell you what model and engine the car was built with.

Ok thanks for the tips.............i'll check those places and I'll update the spring numbers if I can find any.....I do know they are 1500mm from eye to eye and I believe that to be correct for the car?
but the 7 leaf spring is on the drivers side and the 6 leaf on the pass....so I think that is the wrong way round?

thanks again for all the replies, cheers Steve.

Nice looking car, If you can order on line things from Auto-Zone you can get a service manual for that car thats full of information ( Haynes Repair Manual ).. If you need a wiring diagram for it is all here's a link that should help you. Good luck..

Thanks Ron........I'm going to drive it for a year or so, then use it for a Club car with the occasional 1/4 mile run's........

That's the plan anyway..........:toothy9:

Very nice car and yes I'm partial to the B's. You might want talk in inches ( imperial ) and not metric cause you will just confuse the folks in the land of the US of A.
