How far off the back of the hood should I place the Hemi Scoop? Is it 3/4 " off the back of the hood?:thinker: Thanks

1/2" to 3/4" is about right. See if you run into any of the hood frame at 3/4". You want to avoid the frame if you can - especially at the rear of the scoop. There is very little room to get long bolts into the back corners of the scoop to go through the frame rails (I'm doing it right now....).

Thanks for the info. I just ordered the scoop from AAR and it should be done Friday, March 11th. I live local so I can pick it up. I'll Post a few photos of the car with the scoop.

Hi,
Did you ever find out what the exact location should be? I need to try to mount my WO23 scoop too.

I know this may not apply, but the factory scoop on my duster was designed to bolt through the ribs on the hood frame. Maybe they figured:
A- the bolts would be shorter than the ribs, so no clearance problems, and
B- more spot welds around the bolt would be stronger

It sure did suck if one on the nuts fell into the hood frame, though.
